Abstract
Background: Menopause is a natural phase in a woman’s life characterized by hormonal changes that lead to various physical and psychological symptoms, affecting overall well-being and quality of life. Effective and affordable management strategies are essential to alleviate these symptoms. Aim: A study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of soybean consumption on menopausal symptoms among postmenopausal women. Methodology: A quantitative evaluative approach with a pre-experimental one-group pretest–posttest design was adopted. The study was conducted among postmenopausal women selected through convenience sampling. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire and Modified Greene Climacteric Scale. The intervention involved daily administration of soybean for a specific duration, followed by post-test assessment using the same tool. Results: The findings showed that most women experienced moderate to severe menopausal symptoms before the intervention. After soybean consumption, there was a noticeable improvement, with a reduction in symptom severity and a shift toward milder levels. Statistical analysis revealed a significant reduction in menopausal symptoms. A significant association was also found between menopausal symptoms and selected demographic variables such as education, occupation, type of family, and number of children. Conclusion: The study concludes that soybean consumption is an effective, natural, and cost-efficient intervention for reducing menopausal symptoms and improving the quality of life among postmenopausal women. Ensuring ethical standards, patient safety, and equitable access remains essential as regenerative therapies continue to evolve in clinical settings.
